Lighting, which can often be overlooked, is a critical part of every interior.

There are rules to creating effective lighting plans and much depends on what else is going on in the room. At its core, an effective lighting plan is a combination of fixtures, which create interest or support a design element, and function, which places light where it is needed. A well lit room is achieved by creating layers of light with each layer adding more depth and dimension to the space. Another important element of lighting design is to include controls that allow you to adjust light levels within the space to create a mood.
